Podaca, another tourist settlement located along the old Adriatic road is only 2 km east from Zaostroga and 35 km away from Makarska. It consists out of three hamlets: Kapeć, Viskovića vala and Ravanje with total of 660 inhabitants. The population mostly engages in fishing, olive cultivation and tourism so you will have no problem in finding accommodation in numerous apartments, rooms and vacationing houses. In the old Podaca settlement beneath the Biokovo Mountain there is one of the most significant monuments of medieval building – Church of St. John (Crkva Sv. Ivana) that was built by the noblemen Kačići.
